Community Tasting Notes 5

October 11, 2020 - Very surprise to the condition of the wine given the fact the it was not properly cellar. The wine is amazingly good and sill holding well, color is golden straw with bricking along the edges. The nose at front showing elegant floral notes with hazelnuts and apples on the back end. Solid palate, crisp up front with light notes of butter, honey, baking pears and a light touch of oak. The finish is silky with a lastly lingering around the edges. Outstanding wine from the producer.

June 6, 2015 - A stunning Trefethen chard. Just the right amount of oak, smooth and silky.

September 27, 2013 - I drank this along with a 2009 Testarossa Diana's chardonnay and everyone at dinner preferred the Trefethen. I think it merits a score higher than 85.

April 7, 2013 - Trefethen Tasting (Napa, CA): In comparison with the 2010 Chardonnay: less sulphur on the nose and rounder too (from the malolactic). Some yellow fruit aromas as well, and the palate is quite sweet and rich.
