August 11, 2017 - Like sherry - oxidized but cork looked good.
October 13, 2013 - Wonderful bottle of wine. Nose of honey, pineapple and crisp pears. Very full on palate but not overly sweet. Tart finish with loads of fruit in between.
September 30, 2013 - Great fruit, not too fruity though, and definitely not as sweet as many viogniers out there. Very smooth. My last 2010, and I'll miss it.
May 25, 2013 - Love this wine. Needs to be very cold and gets better with a little time open. Perfectly balanced.
December 31, 2012 - Fresh floral notes combined with sweet fruit--peach, melon on the nose.
On the palate-- initially sitting heavy in a luxurious suspension of time --with continuation of peach and the addition of mango and clementines on a base of almond oil, which in a relaxed manner segues into a crisp citrus finish
September 15, 2012 - One of many at the Pana Weatherford Extravaganza. First wine of the night. Nice, full bodied, viognier, drinking more like a chardonnay. Popped and poured to a very lemony and floral scent in the glass with a hint of honeydew and melon. On the palate was lemon, pie crust, and zest with an acidic front. Minerality was significant at first, but that blew off as the wine opened. Overall it stayed a very likeable, subdued, full bodied viognier that had some carbonation all throughout. Was enjoyed with some manchego cheese, brie, and crackers. Excellent array of flavors here. Nice wine - good drinker. Not too sure of the QPR. Drink now.
July 11, 2012 - Great expression of fruit and flowers. Lychee on the nose and palate and these mixed well with floral notes that added interesting accents. The profile was fairly fruit forward, contained more than adequate acidity and provided a long finish. Very pleasant to drink. Not the greatest QPR though.
March 20, 2012 - The nose smelled like spring with flowers, mango, orange zest, and saline minerals, which broadened with time in the glass and began to show sweet cream and almond notes. On the palate, it had a full, almost oily texture with sweet fruit that immiediatly turned to juicy sour apple, pear and hints of pineapple. The finish was long and lingering, like peach nectar with a hint of clove spice.
March 19, 2012 - Golden with aromas of peach Good weight on the palate and tasty. It is mildly imbalanced and hot. It definitely gets hotter with food. All in all, expensive for the experience, but a good one.
