April 2, 2016 - Holding on well and still showing apricot and golden apple in a pure, classy way. Well rounded, smooth and riveting. Very nicely evolved and still long way to go.

February 3, 2013 - Fairly closed when popped, but it quickly opens up with decanting and streaming, splashy pours. Attractive bright golden color. Alluring, heady aroma - strong smoke, Gruyere, flowers, sweet dried fruits, and hints of brandy (minus the alcohol), and hops and/or Christmas tree. On the palate, fairly intense smoky-sweet ripe fruit along the lines of passionfruit-lychee-pear-golden apple, balanced by firm tannins and decent acidity. Maybe no residual sugar, just an impression of sweetness from esters or something. Dry tannic finish. Interesting stuff, full of character and pretty enjoyable.

February 17, 2012 - Penthouse Tasting (Millennium Hilton - New York, NY): This was very bizarre. Nose smelled like bandaids, white florals, seashells and anise. The palate was lush with peach, apple, pear with lots of funky notes. Seemed somewhat disjointed, but was really interesting to track over the course of the evening.

September 17, 2011 - Deep golden colored with opulent golden apples so typical for the variety. Oxidative notes follow with some vegetal flavours like lettuce and garlic. Greasy and full on the palate with bright acidity and fresh, focused fruit.
