  June 23, 2021 - Informal dinner, no notes taken. This was no winner. While the years have certainly helped the integrate the fruit and all other components well, the wine doesn’t have the complexity and precision to pay in the big league. I actually got the impression that this might be in its last leg with not enough tension and freshness left to stand the test of time. Slightly lactic notes too which I don‘t like.
  
  Decanting: Not decanted, followed over two hours with little change. No long decanting needed.

  January 10, 2021 - Blackberry, plum, toast, hint of tobacco. Still youthful. Burly tannins. Better with food. Missing that special X factor.

  August 15, 2020 - Good cabernet. Plenty of fleshy plum, cassis, and eucalyptus. But nothing special that would make me think this warrants a price of over $100 per bottle. The flavors are standard cabernet flavors, and the intensity is good but not great. Drink now. (The tannins are light compared to similarly priced Bordeaux at this age.).
  
  Maybe I'm being hypercritical though. This is delicious wine.
