September 18, 2022 - Herbs and lavender subtle nose. Mouth feel chalky not showing much fruit lots of mineral, beyond the chalk some slate and earth.
    Tasted across two days.

December 10, 2021 - Double decanted for 2 hrs, deep ruby, dark fruit on both nose & palate, med/firm tannins, long finish; outstanding, but still young, drink or preferably hold for another year or 2

January 26, 2021 - spiced plum, raspberry, dark chocolate, licorice, cedar, dark chocolate, black pepper, and dry earth

slightly muted, palate is a bit tense and the fruit isn't as expressive as I would've hoped it would be. Seems to be a bit more lean than other years of Bond I've had. Unfortunately it was being shared and it never saw nearly enough time. The stuffing is there though.

Zacht-lactische, bijna yoghurt-achtige, impressie. Lange afdronk met een zijdezacht, romg mondgevoel. Algemeen / potentieel: Geweldig mooie Napa-Cabernet! 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 13 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 95/100

Color: Deep impenetrable dark red with no trace of discoloration. Aroma / bouquet: Expressive and slightly 'smoky' bouquet with notes of charcoal-cooked meat, stock, an overdose of dark fruit and finally dried dates and prunes. Taste / Finish: Powerful but incredibly seductive soft Napa-Bordeaux blend with a soft and fresh acidity, perfectly ripened tannins and all in a sublime beautiful balance. The refined smokiness also returns in the mouth. Soft-lactic, almost yogurt-like impression. Long finish with a silky smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Overall / potential: Incredibly beautiful Napa-Cabernet! 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 13 + Taste / Finish: 18 + Overall / potential: 9 = 95/100

August 1, 2020 - This wine is in peak perfection. Very dark complex look to it. Loads or red ripe fruits, with a plum finish making this wine very delightful. Tannins have softened but are still present giving this wine lots of years ahead of it in the cellar. Sadly, my only bottle of this vintage.

December 14, 2019 - This wine starts with a silky texture but then expands to a very full body with the perfect balance of fruit and tannins. I spent an entire glass trying to piece together the complexity of this wine. My only regret is I only had one bottle...

October 2, 2019 - More powerful with strong balance of fruit and tannins than the '08. Opened nicely in decanter and drank great the next day. Still has some legs but good to drink.

February 3, 2019 - The 2009 Quella is a gorgeous, deeply expressive wine showing beautifully. Mocha, plum, bittersweet chocolate and raspberry jam give the wine its sumptuous, up-front personality. Exotic, ripe and racy to the core, the 2009 is a true joy to taste today. Silky tannins add to the wine’s considerable appeal. This is an especially full-bodied, voluptuous wine with all of its elements in the right place.

May 31, 2018 - Drinking well now after 3hr decant. Dark plum/purple. Fine grained tannins. Very long finish. Full in mouth. Red and black fruit, cassis, Moreno cherry, espresso, smoky spice, some wood, dust and dirt. A serious, powerful wine for food, discussion - this one commands your attention. Should develop nicely for another 2 decades plus.
