June 30, 2021 - A simply delightful CS. Bold aromas of violets and black fruit. Full-bodied yet smooth as silk with a 20-second finish. I can’t get enough of Futo wines.
May 2, 2021 - Medium to full bodied, Blueberry, noticeable tannin, wood, tobacco and earth, tongue coating. Best after 2 hour decant.
March 14, 2021 - This is an incredibly concentrated and ripe wine with chewy tannins. For me the acidity and tannins overpowered the fruit. Had hoped for a bit more well structured a wine. Didn't hold up well through day 3.
February 25, 2021 - This wine just seems to keep getting better. Brilliant floral aromas with oak and black fruit. Decanted for 2 hours and ate with eggplant parmigiana and other tasty Italian dishes. On the palate, grippy tannins with black cherry, licorice and plum; a minerality on the 20-secon finish.
August 2, 2020 - Aromas of black cherry, plum and licorice explode from the bottle with notes of violets and oak. This is a great Napa cab with bold blackberry, cherry and plum flavors. It has firm yet silky tannins that are not overwhelmed by the fruit. Others noted dark chocolate and wet slate. A gorgeous finish!
June 7, 2020 - Inky purple. Rich syrupy cherry and black currant fruits. Juicy and lush. Not particularly well structured. A bit of tannin remains on the finish. Overall a disappointment given the cost.
May 28, 2020 - Floral and black fruit (plum) aromatics. Blackberry and plum with dark chocolate and gritty tannins in a superb wine from Mr. Futo. Notes of licorice and cedar. Smooth and tasty 15-second finish.
