    October 19, 2021 - 2nd of 4 bottles, last consumed 2.5 yrs ago.
Maturing nicely, showing cassis fruit, black cherry pie, sweet tobacco, plum skin, and espresso grounds.
Big and full bodied on the palate, with ripe, sweet fruit, lush tannins, and a long and voluptuous finish...this Napa Valley Cab has all the requisite parts, and is thoroughly delicious.

August 19, 2021 - A little slow out of the gate but given an hour or two it opened up and turned out to be very nice.

July 10, 2021 - Orlando CT & Friends Offline (Fishbones): Ended the reds with the youngest Napa and it was perhaps the most Napa of the bunch. Fruity and intense and very bright and big and bold. Some white pepper which was there although the fruit dominated.

January 14, 2021 - I think this is at peak. With an hour of air, it shows striking balance between old school Napa structure and modern Napa ripe fruit. Good acidity, as well, and a alluringly complex bouquet. No hurry on this, but no reason to wait, either.

January 10, 2021 - Cork disintegrated during opening. Decanted for 30 minutes and served slightly below rom temp.

Nose: Unripe raspberry, cranberry, hints of cedar, white pepper.

Palate: Ripe raspberry, graphite, hints of vanilla, well integrated tannins.

In a pretty good spot right now for a 12 year old Napa cab. Still a fair amount of fruit, with secondary flavors starting to peak out.

June 22, 2020 - This bottle didn’t show as well as my last one, in November. Just never really fully seemed to open up and display all it has.

November 28, 2019 - Really nice. Smooth, dark fruited, and with just a hint of that menthol note in the finish that many Larkmead cabs display. This has years of fine drinking ahead.

October 14, 2019 - Didn't have a lot of this but my recollection is this was very similar to the Turnbull that preceded it. Darker fruit with that blackberry edge. Just seemed slightly more complex which should be expected given price delta and age. Btw, this was way better than my last bottle.

June 14, 2019 - Great wine that is drinking very well right now. Black fruit with some tobacco and baking spice showing through. Tannins have mellowed a good amount and have integrated well into the wine. Will continue to age well for another 5 - 8 years. Will save my last bottle for a few more years.

April 2, 2019 - 1st of 4 bottles. PnP and enjoyed 1/2 the bottle one night, and the other 1/2 bottle 2 nights later.
Beautiful aromas and flavors that for me, epitomize high quality and regal Napa Valley Cab Sauv.
Cassis, plum, camphor, espresso grounds, some slightly-tart blackberry jam. Nice complexity and depth.
The tannins are nicely integrated now, giving a full-bodied mouthfeel in this beautifully balanced, 14.5% abv wine.
The finish is long, juicy, and just plain delicious. Drink now through 2028 or so. $77 USD.
