April 18, 2024 - This was smooth. The fruit is subsiding. I would say it is time to start drinking up. In fairness, we drank 10 bottles of wine among 13 of us before we got to this wine, so admittedly, my memory is a bit hazy. That, and all of the other wines were from the 1990s, so it was a bit out of place. That said, what I do remember is a smooth, beautiful wine, that is entering its final 10 years of life. But don't hold me to it :)

February 24, 2024 - 14.8% abv. A blend of Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Dense and chewy. Mildy elevated acidity but not overly so.

January 23, 2024 - Wine was a delight. Was decanted using an aerated shower funnel which helped the wine to open up. Nose, mouthfeel, and long lasting taste were all there. Should have bought more.

December 9, 2023 - Not as blowsy as some and there’s a good level of ripe mixed friut, adequate acidity and tannins. It doesn’t add up to all that much but it’s relatively easy to drink.

August 14, 2023 - Dense rich and vivid California cabernwt from Pritchard Hill. This shows a large scaled blueberry, cassis and blackberry frame with strong underrlying mineral and tobacco notes. A large, but reasonably balanced wine. Served a bit too warm ( near room temp) and suffered showing ABV too much, but overall remains a strong wine from this vintage.

Consumed at The Woods in Mackinac Island where we had our first bottle 10 years ago.
