December 26, 2019 - Excellent Chard with complex rich flavors brightened by excellent acidity. This was in its peak performance period. Really enjoyable

July 20, 2018 - Quite good. Nice but subdued nose., Full bodied palate with flavors of kiwi, apple, lemon oil, and canilla notes. Again the oak is a bit too pronounced although overall this is a very good wine.

June 30, 2018 - Fantastic and fully mature. This is a terrific Cali chardonnay at this moment in time. Lovely floral and minerally nose. The palate is really well integrated with the oak providing an appropriate supporting role. Flavors of lemon oil, apple and tropical fruit but in a restrained balanced way. The palate and finish is long and complex.

February 19, 2018 - This vineyard tends to age better than some of the other Hobbs vineyards and here again this was drinking better than a recent tasting of Ritchie. Light to medium golden color. Perfectly mature now with flavors of tart apple, honeysuckle, mineral, smoke. Full bodied big chardonnay but in balance with a nice nose and good structure.

December 30, 2017 - Fully mature. Yellow, golden color. The nose is delicate and subtle, almost too subtle. Flavors of lemon, nuts and minerals in beautiful mid palate with nice full finish. In my experience 7-8 years is the full maturity window for the Hobbs chards generally although they can be drunk earlier of course and generally shouldn’t be drunk much later.
