November 12, 2020 - I had a bottle of this one several months ago. At that point it was outperforming it price point. This bottle was back to being just what an inexpensive Bordeaux usually is. Because of the last bottle, I was hoping for a little more.

July 8, 2020 - Had with dinner last night. Didn’t take notes. Very enjoyable, plush silky smooth tannins. Lots of black currant and very well integrated oak. Drinking beautifuly, but coul easily last another 5 years.

July 5, 2020 - I have had a few bottles of this one for over three and a half years. I tried a bottle early on. It was in line with the Pro ratings and price point. However, I have often had good luck with Bordeaux wine with 90-ish ratings that began to outperform after about 10 years. That is where this wine is right now. It is in a great drink window. Deep and dark with a lot going on. Decanted for almost two hours.

May 17, 2020 - Gave this an hour's decant to open up. In appearance , this wine is now an intense garnet, with long and lasting legs In the glass. The aromas are classic claret - cassis, sweet cherries, cedar, menthol / eucalyptus, stewed fruit ,and faint hints of the sweet floral notes of iris or bluebells. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, acidity and tannins are still medium, producing a satisfyingly chewy quality. On the palate , flavours of herby blackcurrants, stewed plums, marzipan and cocoa, with a dry shortish finish. This is a solid and good value second wine, which hints at the qualities of the Grand Vin . Will continue to develop over the next 5 years .

February 16, 2020 - Emirates lounge. Dark fruit and a fair bit of wood. Fine to medium tannins. Not at the level of some of the 09s Bdx in the lounge
