December 28, 2020 - Bit of backsliding on this bottle. Still good, but not outstanding like the last bottle. One left to see which way Winter cab will be remembered.

December 24, 2020 - Decanted for 2+ hrs before first taste. Deep purple fruit on the nose. Same plus some tobacco darkness on the finish. Fine grain tannins. Drank over three days and held up well. On third day, added some notes of cedar on the nose. Very enjoyable.

April 30, 2020 - Fully mature and lovely to drink. Opened up noticeably over lunch. My bad for not opening/decanting earlier, but sometimes you just need to follow your impulses. Still great at first taste. Good for many more years.

September 22, 2019 - Mostly red fruit. Smooth tannins but a bit thinner than I would have thought for a nap cab

December 24, 2018 - Hadn't had a Winter cab in a while and forgot how good these are, especially at the pricing available after the winery closed. Dark, rich wine that is well balanced with lots of lift/energy even a decade later. Opened at a party and disappeared quickly so no more detailed notes but clearly still going strong.

December 13, 2018 - Similar to last note two years ago. This wine is in substantially same place. A good food pairing wine (in this case, Beef Wellington) that is integrated and balanced. Fruits still evident, medium finish. Probably will not get better (or for that matter, develop tertiary traits), but should last as is for another couple of years.
