December 17, 2023 - At this point it has lost much of its body.

November 23, 2017 - Opened this up for Thanksgiving dinner and it is hitting its peak. We held this one for a long time but it was worth it. Poured in the glass an hour before dinner and then enjoyed over 3 hours.

Nice dark fruit as it hits your palate but the joy is how it evolves into the long finish. An exceptional all around wine.

September 8, 2013 - A marvelous wine ! Other notes on this wine are spot on. First make sure you decant it and give it some time. Earthy with dark berry fruits with linering tobacco. The taste is very balanced and structured with traces of stem and young berry.

October 16, 2012 - Visited the winery last December and loved it - bought a mixed case of wine and signed up for their mailing list.

Opened this wine for dinner last month and found it undrinkable when first opened. Unremarkable, thin, eh. Thought maybe it was a bad bottle - put the cork back in it, sat it aside and forgot about it...

3 days later I see it in the corner and think "what the heck I'll give it another taste"....

Wow! I'm glad I did. Huge body, rich fruit, long finish ... it developed into an outstanding wine. I was completely unprepared for how it evolved. Anyone else experience this?

As I'm writing this review I just opened the 2009 Winemaker Cuvee and it also seems a little 'green, hot, slightly thin' right out of the bottle. I'm thinking it might also evolve nicely over the next few hours...these wines might just still be too young.

September 30, 2012 - 1.5 L bottle - Decanted it for 4 hours. While I agree I should have kept this longer, I had a good reason to share it. This wine is classic & sublime. It was tart on opening by softened to a smooth berry fruit hue. The bouquet was also a berry fruit that showed hints of tobacco,
