August 22, 2019 - Nice dark color, perhaps just a hint of brick on the edge. Dark bramble berry notes on the nose. Rich, dark fruit on the palette, good balance, perhaps a characteristic hint of pepper. The finish lasted a long time. This wine was very good, but if you still have it, I don’t,think it will get any better.

November 12, 2017 - Starting to get a little brickish in color, a little barnyard on the nose along with the dark berries, the barnyard dimished as it breathed. Velvety mouth feel with nice acidity and tannins with a with a long finish with the fruits, oak, vanilla and tobacco similar to what we tasted in 2012. Deeee-licious :)

October 14, 2017 - This is a wine I could never get tired of. Perfect blend of grapes result in a nicely integrated wine with soft tannins with a smooth, lush mouthfeel. I wish I bought more as this is drinking incredibly well.

May 28, 2017 - Really enjoyed this one. A nice blend of cab, merlot, cab franc, petit Verdot and Malbec all nicely integrated. Drinking well.

May 13, 2017 - It's been three plus years since I last enjoyed this. As with the prior bottles, this was decanted and paired with a big, chargrilled ribeye steak. This is still a "beast" with both tannin and oak in the forefront of mix; however, there's plenty of black and some emerging red fruit, mocha, dry leather, and black dirt. Big and somewhat dry in the mouth. Very old school but if you have a thick, juicy piece of meat this will be perfect. Long, dry finish. Not for the Robert Parker crowd but a style which I enjoy. This should cellar for another four to five years, or possibly longer.
