October 28, 2023 - Very smooth and savory. This is fully mature and should be drunk sooner than later.
Let it breathe for at least one hour to get rid of VA notes.

April 28, 2023 - Drank this bottle at Cook & Brew during the Little Red Dot 3rd Anniversary Dinner. Theme of the evening: Cabernet Sauvignon based wines which are more than 12 years and above $120.

Ruby red in colour. Noted of redwood, spices, plums and blueberries. Ripe red fruits on the palate giving it savory characteristics. Wine ends with a beautiful, long, elegant finish.

At 22 years of age, the wine is very well integrated and would probably not benefit from further aging.

March 17, 2023 - Right bank Bordeaux: Was quite tough to tell this and the L'Evangile apart which made sense on reveal given that they were from the same vintage. I guessed this as the L’Evangile which was a testament to this hitherto unknown estate to me. Dark-fruited but without being excessively modern, this showed better at the start in a pleasurable fruit-forward way, but the L'Evangile eventually surpassed this by some margin.

March 17, 2023 - Bordeaux Right Bank 70s to 2000s: Medium (+) body with fairly rich dark fruit here. Guessed 2001 St. Emilion.

December 15, 2021 - I was determined not to upload another review of this wine but it is an ever changing beast. It was unexpected surprise from the estate on release and its quality was spotted by RP. I think it finally is vindicating those initial plaudits with the tannin now fully resolved on the palate and everything seamless with an extended finish. However, the downside is that I don't think this has the structure to continue at this level for much longer, and if you have it start drinking this now and enjoy it at its delightful best. The nose is already starting to show early signs of over age, and very faint sherry like notes are being glimpsed on the palate. I need to have a Peby Faugères binge as I still have 2 cases!

(CHATEAU PEBY FAUGERES) #3; VaynerPAZZZ (on QPR); COLOR-really dark; NOSE-the LEAST aromatic wine ever on WLTV, hint of Cape Cod/Seafood, empty just eaten steamed clam shells; TASTE-has Syrah characteristics, a New World Bordeaux, thick & viscous; great intense red Pomegranate / Passion Fruit / cherry, over-the-top style Bordeaux, very silky, a little too much Oak, after the fruit there is some awkwardness (greenness that is not delicious) ; RP-94; GV-90
