January 6, 2024 - Subdued nose. Palate is a little wild. Shows its pedigree beneath the surface but not a good example.

February 2, 2023 - Coravin fun - Corton (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Very slightly resinous black hued fruits, sweet spice, a little alcohol prickle lends a touch of peppery spice, slightly more savoury with time. Medium plus intensity acidity, savoury, a little foursquare and touch on the palate with some alcohol warmth on the finish. Fruit quite muted, showing a little cherry. Hmm. it's a bit bolshy. Time may help but I have my doubts.

November 25, 2022 - This is nice, and ready, though some further years won't hurt. Distinctly ripe, really nice flavour and mouthfeel. Tannins now quite soft.

Idiosyncratic opinion: This is a go-to wine as an antidote to a Chateauneuf du Pape with too much alcohol. It has richness and ripeness without being out of balance, alcohol-wise.

January 15, 2021 - Shy nose of plum, damp earth and ink. Medium-bodied, with balanced acidity and minimal tannins. Primary, elegant and fruit forward, with lovely PN notes coming on the back end.Well structured and elegant, this is lovely now if not particularly exciting. I would give it more time: it's definitely not in any danger of decline.

December 7, 2019 - Black cherry, cola, cinnamon, clove, and violet. Medium-acidity with ripe tannin and a tea-like finish. It will improve with age, but it's not a crime to open, and it may not shut down in the near future (92+).
