December 30, 2018 - This is drinking perfectly. Exceptional balance - creamy, mineraly, hints of toast and vanilla from the soft (but present) oak and perfect balance of mature fruit. A real treat.

August 26, 2017 - Superlative! Awesome! An incredible white burgundy. Served with steamed lobster.

August 24, 2016 - This is a great time to enjoy Philip Colin white wines, not just because of its popularity in Chassagne-Montrachet but because of quality price ratio.

Philip Colin gives Chassagne-Montrachet its own interpretation of terroir. Very expressive and powerful Les Chaumées, plenty of ripe fruits but also freshness. Not quite the les Vergers quality but with minerals structure and texture.

Lovely elegance and purity of Chassagne. Slight topical fruits from hot year, ripe fruits but not pungent. Creamy.

    89/100

February 17, 2016 - Casual Session (Chassagne & Bordeaux) (B&B Parkway): Pop and poured. Drank over 2.5 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of salty and flinty minerality. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fatty citrus lemon, salty minerality, flinty minerality. Long finish.
Good quality. The fruity citrus lemon takes centre-stage on the palate, and there may be fans of this fruity style. Not for me. Acidity could be better also. Drink over next 2+ years. Does not seem likely to improve much with further ageing.
