January 25, 2019 - This is a 11 years old bottle clellered at constant temperatur (54 F) and proper humidity level.
The cork broke at the ending of the uncorking. It had lots of sediments and small cork fragments.
It was filtered , aired and decanted. Two hour later is a great wine similar to the FRANCEs betst. Aromas of prunes and dry figs, slightly earthy and tobacco. At taste is round long finishing and balanced tannins and acidity. A solid 93.

November 3, 2017 - Great vintage, and good wine. Dark fruits, long finish, complex but with integrated tannins.

February 2, 2016 - Surprisingly good wine at this 8 years old bottle. ripe fruits, balanced tannin, round finishing. we had it with grilled steak and home made eggplant parmesan . Delicious and harmonic pairing.

January 10, 2015 - Deep dark nose, and color. I get lots of dark fruit and tobacco, some cocoa on long, full finish. A little "chewy" (wish I really enjoy). Love this winery and this is a great wine, IMO. Could have been talked into a 92.

August 3, 2014 - PnP - initial heat, dark cherries, raspberries, nice oak, chocolate/dark spice on the nose. On the palette, beautiful dark fruit which disappears very quickly, liqueur/espresso quality. I was definitely surprised by the structure. The acidity is a tab on the flat side, tannins rough and a short clove finish that left me questioning if this would improve after an hour in the decanter.

1hr later - pretty must the same less the heat. astringency was still there

August 5, 2013 - One of the most disappointing wines I have purchased to date...Bought directly from the vineyard, so provenance intact but wine just sits there...nothing worth revisiting. Completely unremarkable...dull and lifeless.

February 13, 2013 - Decanted this for several hours. Right upon opening, as one poster said, there was a decent nose but zippo on the palate. Really tannic with no fruit characteristics. After several hours this did get a little better but still not much there. Ate with a fillet which allowed the wine to at least be drinkable as the tannins were still a bit overwhelming. Still very little on the palate. At the price we paid this is very disappointing.
