April 6, 2024 - Beautiful and nicely aged barolo. Great balance. Glad I waited as it is a perfect place now though will last for some time.

March 17, 2024 - deep and dense; perfectly ripe; acidity stands up to the big fruit; sweet oak, christmas spice and earth; would have guessed a bit of young petit syrah was added to the glass; i have a mixed past with barolo, but every so often, one surprises and amazes me.

November 1, 2023 - One our wines of the year. This has developed better than the vintage would have anticipated. Super nose with hints of chocolate and dark cherries. Plenty of brick rim around a deep coffee colour in the glass. Complex and full but not overbearing. Agree the vintage means it may not last but I might just leave one to 2030!

September 3, 2023 - Popped and poured at Fiorino. No roses or red tones, here. All dark fruits, tar, black licorice. Fairly rich and big, but plenty of acid and a little tannin remaining. I don’t see this getting any better from here, so I’ll try to drink my remaining bottles over the next couple years. That said, we both enjoyed this bottle.

July 8, 2023 - Nose is conveying that it is beyond its peak, still a lot of structure, tannins, body, but the pleasant flavors are not there. Not enjoyable alone, needs to be had with food. Opens as times goes by but never softens without the bite of tannins of a bold red beyond its time.
