April 16, 2012 - Needs an hour or two to open up. Red & black fruit. Graphite. Fine grained tannins and very, very dry.

February 1, 2012 - Needed a day vacu-corked in the fridge to come alive, would guess 1 hr decant at room temp. Attractive rhone aroma and taste and no obvious flaws. Dusty herbal fruit on the noise and delightful and well-balanced in the mouth with dark red berries, some vegetal and herb, slightly salty stone, and some light spice (pepper). Medium finish of the same. 70% grenache, 25% syrah, 5% cinsault. 14.5% abv. Body medium or slightly higher, acid and tannin medium minus. Excellent QPR at USD13. Will buy again.

    December 6, 2011 - 3rd wine so far from this producer ...

Woh woh woh.... this is a must try. I thought Beaumes de Venise was a village, but apparently it became a Cru such as CDP and Vacqueyras.

This is the most suprising wine I have tasted this year. Only $15 !!!! What a steal !

Try it blind folded, I bet you'll pay $40 for that wine.

This wine shows very ripe rasperries, black currants, notes of truffles and graphite. Full-bodied with silky tannins and a very long velvety finish.

This red Beaumes de Venise is already drinking beautifully and I guess would age easyly 5-6 years in the cellar.

    I need to get more
