April 25, 2023 - Worth the wait. Mellow tannin, full bodied dark fruit.

November 3, 2018 - This bottle was a bit better. Was seeing some of the dark fruits and leather and plum. Reasonable intergration on the palate, but just not a show stopping wow type of wine. Not hot, alcohol seems to have balanced out reasonably, no major flavor profiles on the palate however, some berry fruits, thin mid palate strong tartness at finish. Thankfully only have a few bottles left. Probably will give to folks who think wine is "red". This particular bottling falls into the same catagory as yellow tail, bota box etc.

January 6, 2018 - Hmm, not sure if this is past its prime, or I am missing something here. Tried both a few sips when first opened and poured and then waited 30 minutes and tried again. Wasn't getting much on the nose for aroma's overall, maybe a little eucalyptus, and some dark plum, but it was subtle. Palate was decent middle of the road, again some plum, no oak, a hint of leather, but neither outstanding nor abysmal, just an everyday pnp wine. Finish was slightly tannic/tart.
Tried again the second day, didn't note any real differences. Not what expect from a Caton wine, but based on some research this is more of a drink now wine, not a hold wine. Didn't find any notes of berries/currant/chocolate (from other web reviews) Might be past its prime.

July 23, 2017 - Not bad, just not to my liking for no specific reason.

February 19, 2017 - I don't really understand this wine. Brooding dark-fruit nose and initial taste, quickly followed by a thin mid-palate and finish. It is tart and tannic and I keep waiting for the finish to come around, but so far it hasn't. Disappointing.
