December 9, 2020 - NSG Central Tasting (Chicago): Roasted and rustic black fruit nose. Palate has nice earthy black cherry though it lacks concentration and length. Not much to get excited about here and not nearly as interesting as the 01 Grivot Boudots last week.

December 9, 2020 - Nuits St Georges 1er "Central" Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Still nicely bright with as much red fruit as black fruit, this has medium/ good weight and slightly better length. Good now.

December 27, 2018 - Pretty mediocre experience, older style of Grivot sometime just presented a bit more oak than I prefer (but I really like the Grivot wines recent vintages, much more feminine and elegant). The wine has minerals, leather, dark fruits, and tar, but overall relatively one dimensional, not complex and slightly more oak.

August 27, 2011 - Welcoming the hurricane. Decanted three hours, and needed all three. Dark red in glass with bricking. Nose of red fruits, with eucalyptus, barnyard and a touch of mint. Sour cherries and strawberries on the palate, with licorice, granite, star anise, black pepper and peppermint. Drink up. #Irene
