Community Tasting Notes 7

  • Softie Likes this wine:

July 18, 2019 - Grapefruit and succulent peach/nectarine, toasty oak, malolactic creaminess in supportive role, good acid brightness still at 10 years. The morrishness of the peach character surprises and delights me.

Very much enjoyed this wine. Happy to drink my 2-3 remaining over next two years.

February 4, 2015 - @davidbalint1: 09 Main Ridge chardy. Elegant, structure with depth. Peachy cadge some matchstick, long finish. 92-93.

September 22, 2014 - Lots of tinned pineapple and tropical fruit, with a grapefruit acidity underneath. A bit hot and lacking direction. Good to go.

July 19, 2014 - Light gold colour. Stone fruit, a little tropical nose. A wine of two halves. On the attack is concentrated, burst of stone fruit, figs, quite big, medium bodied. Loses persistence on the finish and really misses some acidity to balance it out.
