November 14, 2022 - Still nice. Tired but not over the hill. Must have been pretty beefy in its youth.

December 24, 2014 - PnP. Similar to prior bottle. Feels like best days have past. This wine did show better in a Riedel Vivant vs Vinum glass. It was also cleaner on the initial PnP as opposed to after an hour of air. It gained weight as the night went on, but it just felt heavy without the Pinot qualities I enjoy.

July 19, 2014 - PnP. Brought to a restaurant, so no formal notes. All I recall is that it was underwhelming and a bit disappointing. Muted nose, and not a whole lot behind it. It was missing classic Pinot characteristics, also lacking in texture, acidity, midpalate, etc. Well, not totally lacking, but lacking 90 pt stuff.

Shared some with the waiter...he knew about Morgan and talked up the wine a bit. I can't help but think that he was only doing that to be nice. I certainly couldn't talk it up without my nose growing.

Tasted in a Riedel Vinum Pinot Noir glass.

January 1, 2014 - Decanted several hours before tasting and consumed over 2 days. Pretty nose which did not follow through onto the palate. Fairly light body with fading fruit being shouldered aside by the structure. Its best days are gone, I am afraid.

December 20, 2013 - Dark red color. Decanted for 40 minutes. Drank 2 glasses with dinner over 90 minutes. Nose shows cherry, nice dry earth, dried spices, subtle raspberry. The palate is medium bodied, spicy, sous bois, bing cherry, oak, dry medium grain tannins, medium finish. The is alcohol showing on the palate now and the fruit has fallen off a bit. Not nearly as good as the last bottle. Decanting mellowed and evened this out, but I would be very cautious about holding this.
