October 26, 2021 - Stick to my last tasting note. Still vibrant and just slowly some tertiary notes and faint truffles evolve.
Will graciously age for at least another decade.
May 27, 2021 - Lot of sediment
May 23, 2020 - Rich ripe cherry-dominated fruit, with licorice and dried floral notes. Still very tannic, but enough acidity to keep it refreshing. So much sediment I had to decant twice.
January 6, 2019 - Excellent aglianico from this remote region. The bouquet convinces with black cherries and other dark fruit but also pencil shavings and minerality. This is not for the faint hearted, as the tannins are still present and a vibrant acidity keeps the wine quite refreshing. Medium to long finish with so much going on, I believe it can easily handle 1-2 more decades of further cellaring.
September 8, 2018 - Initially too tannic and i thought i should have waited another year or two, but after an hour (w/o decanting) became surprisingly easy-going, light-medium body. Not what i was expecting but enjoyable and interesting enough.
August 10, 2018 - Nice everyday drinker. Was expecting something more at this price point.
February 16, 2018 - This bottle seemed off. Fruit was there but masked by an enemy agent. Not corked though.
February 9, 2018 - 14%. Medium dark red. Notes of kirsch and plums. Tannins seem fully resolved. Peak drinking - maybe this bottling intended to be more modern & early drinking style
January 10, 2018 - Big fruit followed by big cottony, mouth drying tannins. Needs years in the cellar yet. Hold.
August 28, 2017 - This is a leathery, earthy, floral wine, with abundant red fruit, licorice, herbs and flowers. Traces of enticing, fragrant charcuterie on the nose. Harmonious and complex, nicely textured and easy to drink. Ready to drink now.
