August 26, 2013 - Encore beaucoup de matière mais par ailleurs l'alcool domine au nez et en bouche, laissant une sensation camphrée et brûlante en bouche. Fort désagréable. Servi frais, c'est mieux... même bon, compte tenu de la matière. Aucun intérêt à laisser vieillir plus.
Conclusion : manque d'équilibre et de fraîcheur, tanins souples, trop d'alcool, manque d'équilibre.

August 12, 2012 - I must say that I was pleasently surprised by this wine.
Nose: Intense aromas of black fruits, black pepper, liquorice, petroluem and chocolate.
Palate: A little jammy but not over the hill. Full bodied wine that develops blackberries, black fruits, chocolate and strong pepper. The wine also started to develop some leather notes that is showing its age. This is like a combination of Northern Rhone precision with Califronia sexiness syrah !
It did not crack the 90+ because of a slight jammy element that I found intrusive. Very good nonetheless !

May 16, 2012 - Vin arborant une robe grenat foncée. Nez intense d'où émanent des arômes empyreumatiques, évoquant la réglisse, le cacao ainsi que des arômes de cuir. Un vin rouge manifestant une agréable fraîcheur et pourvu de tannins étoffé. Offrant une texture ample, il persiste longuement dans une belle finale.
December 19, 2011 - La robe est pourpre foncée. Le nez est sur les notes poivrées, les fruits noirs, la vanille en retrait également. En bouche, c’est crémeux, assez intense, la longueur est correcte. Whitesmith merci encore pour ce beau cadeau! À acheter les yeux fermés! 91-92.
April 13, 2010 - Deep rich, smoky, dark fruit. Perfect now and with a couple more years. Breathes well
February 7, 2009 - Decanted for 1.5 hours. Quite nice wine. Smoky and rich with blackberry and chocolate. Nose is quite expressive in quite a French way. Some berry fruit, but mostly smokey earthy notes, but not at all gamey. Very good wine with rich fare. Good now, would not be hurt by several more years in the cellar.
May 3, 2007 - This wine overall is well balanced. From the coffee nose to the elegant entrance in the palate this wine is enticing. The depth is amazing. tiers of espresso and chocolate layer your mouth. Tannins which lend themselves to the backbone of this wine support the spice and flavor and send them to a legnthy soft supple finish. Decanted only for 15 minutes. Incredible.
