July 4, 2011 - This shows a tense green-tinged and bright golden colour. It shines truly neat and clean in the glass. From the first smell you know this is going to be an atypical Kabinett. In fact this shows the essence of 2010 and comes over with impressive aromatic depth of honey-imbued fruit such as green apple and peach wrapped in a thick waxy, smoky mantel. The palate is as deep ,almost viscous delivering a joyful play between concentration and freshness. The superb razor-sharp lime-driven acidity stings and burns the palate shining throughout and proving to be the founding element of this wine. This is quite a remarkable Kabinett requiring "2010 drinking mode". Rebuy: Yes.
