February 14, 2023 - Dark to the rim

Nose is dark, rich and has a hint of pepper spice. Really attractive notes.

Palate is rich, dark, spicy and quite long. The spice notes and dark fruit go on for quite some time.
Really palate coating and the texture is nice.

    Would buy again.

April 30, 2022 - I concur with WAWINEFAN. Delicous wine!

April 9, 2022 - This had signs of heat damage, which was a real bummer because the body of the wine brought forth such strong potential. Would still rate a 90 as is.

(Betz Family Winery Chaptire 3 Syrah Columbia Valley) Dark in color. A perfumed, smoky, inky wine loaded with bacon fat, mineral notes, spice, and black and blue fruit. The palate is rich and dense, full of mineral and huckleberry flavors with a long, lingering finish. 100% Syrah. Ciel du Cheval, Ranch at the End of the Road, and Boushey vineyards.
