May 13, 2017 - Very well balanced. Dark fruit, ample tannin, delicious.

December 1, 2015 - Wonderful nose that evolves quickly: Spice, Cassis, Dark Cherry, smoke. This has more life left than the experts predicted, at least two more years. Beautiful wine and a bargain at that for $20. Very balanced with smooth but firm tannins. Highly recommended.

May 13, 2012 - Revisited this two nights after opening after being vacuumed and refrigerated. Both my wife and I thought this was much better than at first pour. The bitterness and funk had gone away and it was much smoother. I still believe that it could improve with more cellar time. Probably won't buy again.

May 11, 2012 - Third and last wine of the evening that began with a 2007 Mas de la Deveze CĂ´tes du Roussillon Villages "66", followed by a 1997 Artesa Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley accompanied by grilled top sirloin. The Cape Blend was unpleasantly bitter compared to the previous two, but improved a bit in the decanter. Likely it needed more air or cellar time. Vacu Vined and saved 3/4 of the bottle in the fridge for later.
