May 7, 2017 - Deep red color. Aromas of black cherries, leather, minerals and under-brush. Ripe, full-bodied fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Very balanced for a 2003. Nicely textured and intense on the palate. Perhaps this, my first bottle consumed 11 years after purchase, was "lightening in a bottle," but it was truly an outstanding bottle of Gevrey. Delicious and memorable with my wife's excellent chicken paprikash.

February 12, 2016 - Very good. Nose with roasted fruit. Full bodied but not overextracted. Enough fruit and acidity left to be a good wine for the '03 vintage. With some air it lives up.
