July 19, 2015 - Really great. certainly not mainstream. Beautiful almost orangish color, piney core, accidic, refreshing, sort of a salinity, probably oxidized.

June 16, 2015 - This was a tough wine to get my head around. On the one hand it was big and powerful, yeasty, savory, almost orange colored, with sharp acids and a long finish. On the other hand it was almost a little too big and powerful, a little too yeasty and savory. The acids tickle the sides of your mouth and the finish is long with a touch of grapefruit bitterness. There is a certain oxidation to the wine which is also reflected in the nose and finish.

A lot to take in in a single sip. This is a wine for a BIG flavored meal, not for the faint of heart.....

December 7, 2011 - Deep gold color and pronounced baked apple, nutmeg and orange wine twang on the nose. Surprisingly fresh tasting though. Easy drink really with more apple pie and skin contact beer-like flavors. Really was a fairly generous skin contact wine without too many complications. Perhaps that is a nit, in that it doesn't offer much complication for the price. A one note wine but it's a very nice note.
