August 29, 2022 - Fruit is tired and uninspirational. Some tannin remains but short in the finish.

March 8, 2022 - Friend came over and took this out from the cellar and drank while we were chatting late. Surprisingly for an 18 year old Pauillac, it did not need airing and was pleasant to drink from the glass. I am sure some hour opened would help, but not needed. Great amounts of black fruits, chocolate, forest floor or dried herbs, medium tannins, beginning to soften... not complex (expected as drank as soon as it was opened), felt it had high alcohol. Medium 15-20 seconds finish.

October 18, 2021 - It's in a perfect place now with bright dark fruit, floral nose and hints of rosemary, cassis, tobacco and pepper.

April 4, 2021 - Blackcurrant, some cherry and plum, cedar, raw steak marinated in soy, coffee, white pepper, fine dusty wash of tannin, ample length. Really enjoyed this.

January 17, 2021 - Professional cellaring since release; average quality cork used by the winery - lots of small pock marks.

Translucent garnet. A classic-styled left-bank Bordeaux, blackcurrant, cedar and dusty notes; medium-bodied and elegant, sweet blackcurrant, graphite, on the midpalate there are fine, slightly raspy tannins and then a kiss of acidity; good length. Good for the price, extremely versatile at the table.

    August 16, 2020 - 1/2, excellent cork, decanted 1/2 hour.
Deep ruby/garnet, pale rim. Attractive ripe dark fruit on the nose, cedar, touch of spice. This is medium bodied, elegant, attractive with soft tannins, pure dark fruit, cedar, fresh acidity carrying a very good length harmonious finish, This is excellent and drinking well, though no hurry.

January 2, 2020 - Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Deep ruby core, fading edges. Pronounced aromas, mostly of soy stewed meat, paprika, cocoa, twigs, brambles, somewhat stewed black cherry. Reaolved tannins, a medium level of acid, but still a fairly high alcohol heat, with stewed cherry and plum flavours, as well as coffee, cocoa, roses, white pepper, some grass and bell pepper. Finished quite long. Nice!

August 8, 2019 - A flat bottle or is the wine gradually fading? Pleasant but on the downslope. Looking back over the full case (!) ultimately disappointing: technically correct but not very interesting or lively.

May 12, 2019 - Solid performance for this wine with dark fruit flavors (blackberry, plum, black cherry), pencil and tobacco. Moderate structure and silky, fine tannins. In its drinking window now but maybe two years left at most.
