March 1, 2024 - Some Wine Tasted at the Acker La Paulée Auction (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Tasted at auction. Slightly dirty, this was still tasty, but nowhere near its potential.

July 6, 2023 - So sublime I have no words... Close to perfection. Speechless. What I've always wanted to taste but was tantalisingly out of reach. Mushroomy weirdness, dancing fruit... Electric acidity. Endless length. Perfect sphericity.

July 20, 2018 - Enjoyable, if not necessarily sophisticated.

March 18, 2016 - Broader and firmer than the Rousseau CSJ, this is leathery and a little funky, with a slight hint of what some at the table thought was cork, but seemed to blow off with air. Wild and powerful.

March 3, 2016 - Olea (New Haven, CT): Wild aromatics - lots and lots of stems, funky earthy and leathery notes, and high toned spicy aromas leading into a palate full of bright raspberry and cherry fruit. It still feels somewhat unintegrated and very youthful next to the Rousseau, with a fair bit of grainy tannin on the finish, though I get the impression this has lots of time ahead of it.

January 28, 2013 - Very mature and developed. May have guessed 70-something if served blind. Lots of Tea notes and decayed fruit. A bit on the light side for a CC.
