November 21, 2019 - [Jero] Lovely, a moderate cheesiness, but not unpleasant, like aged Gouda. Definitely a little oxidative but totally drinkable, I thought, and a pretty accessible wine with a lot of weight and rich flavour. Fun. JK Birthday Acker Sale.

January 20, 2018 - Honeyed golden hay colour. Nose has a lovely subtle combination of soft honey, temple smoke, spices and some confit lemon. Palate is still super-fresh and refreshing. Wow…a light but still massive resonance quickly grows inside the head on the finish. Gosh, so light but so powerful. Two bottles with no variation. 91+

July 27, 2015 - If I assessed this wine solely on the nose, it would be 93 points. Intense aromas of almonds, butter, popcorn, caramel, honey, flowers, nuts and dried fruits wafted out of the glass in spades. The palate, however, was a letdown. The wine was slightly tart and out of balance with a lack of fruits. The finish was slightly sharp and lacked continuity. Should have been drunk a few years ago. No sign of premox.

July 27, 2015 - Copperish, totally evolved. Nutty, dried fruits, resiny nose. Very enticing aromas. I love aged white Burg aromas. However, on the palate this fell flat, no fruit sweetness anymore. Quite dry and bitter with a rather clipped finish. I guess the vintage marred the wine.

September 10, 2012 - Tasted blind and I actually had my vote on a Chassagne 1er cru from Ramonet. This wine was a little bit disappointing due to the fact it does not really hold it together. Burned figs and citrus and quite quick in the aftertaste. Miss the focused fruit and the elegance.

April 15, 2012 - sign of past seepage pop-n-pour; golden yellow colour showed its' age; lovely and charming nose -- mineral, nuts, spices, subtle fruits and butter; no sign of premox; bouquet at its peak at around 1 hour with some popcorn and caramel; medium+ body; mineral and spices dominated palate with substantial structure; around 30s finish; a good effort for the vintage

September 19, 2009 - Clear, golden yellow. Creamy nose with dried fruits (maybe apricot?). Medium bodied with bright acidity. Pleasing brine note on the palate mixed with the dried fruits. The smoky and creamy finish elevates and then falls off quickly.

February 1, 2008 - Very nice wine! despite the vintage this wine delivers what one would expect from Les ruchottes.
Gold/amber color, gorgeous nose of honey comb, roasted nut, white flowers, citrus family, with a strong back bone. On the palate just the texture you would want to wish, velvety, oily, and yet delivering all the complexity mentioned above, with enough acidity to support the whole thing. A real joy to go with Shrimp sauteed with Olive oil and butter.

June 1, 2006 - Drank 1/2 bottle on normal weeknight with grilled fish, grilled baby yams, and broccoli. The wine was awesome! Where can we get some more? Rich, full bodied, gorgeous color - this is what chassagne is all about.
