  May 3, 2022 - Bottle in great condition; filling-level bottom neck, the long cork is intact and seals tight. Dark garnet colour. Cherry, red fruit, light chocolate, earthy notes, tobacco, porcini, and complex spice notes, with lively, slightly pronounced acidity, mostly resolved tannin, and very good length. Light oak bitterness on the finish. Medium- to full-bodied, with good concentration and good balance. The wine needs a food pairing (in our case meat balls) since it still shows some Sangiovese rusticity. This Chianti is aging well, and it does not seem to go down any time soon. Drink now and over the next eight to ten years.

  September 24, 2021 - Tons of tertiary flavors here but a slight deficiency of primary flavors at this point, for my tastes at least. Notes of cherry and tobacco and oak, and even a little floral. The nose was smokey.
