October 31, 2019 - The most impressive California Super-Tuscan I've ever had -- (Sangiovese-based (80%) with Cab Sauv. (20%). Very dark ruby-colored, with dried herbs, leather, and black cherry licorice. Excellent pairing with charcuterie and strawberry jam.

February 10, 2017 - Much better than expected at this age. Fruit forward and robust.

July 17, 2013 - RJ’s wine dinner – random wines – Krug, Salon, Leroy, Truchot, Dujac, La Turque, Chave, SQN and etc. (Mon Ami Gabi - Reston, VA): Apparently Sangiovese based wine. Strong burnt rubber note, soft red fruit driven palate but mostly devoid of fruits. Perhaps it would have been much more enjoyable when young.
