    June 17, 2017 - One of 300 bottles bottled in September 2011.
The only thing against this wine is its recent bottling and hence its new looking label ( great news for the quality of the wine though) which takes away from that old & ancient madeira mystique.
Still though once you cross that the wine has very little to envy its classic cousins and in many ways we find these Rare Wine Co bottlign to be better and more consistent. Nutty, light oxidative, light caramel and rasiny fruit and very bright, very vibrant wine. Such a joy! 93

July 5, 2016 - Wine has been opened for a good 2 weeks. In typical Madeira longevity this has evolved quite a bit but still as fresh as if it was bottled yesterday. Nutty, oxidative full of charm and depth. Firm and very complex. A very worthy 92

June 20, 2016 - We have had this wine a few times and the mistake here is to pop n pour. The wine needs its decanting maybe a day if possible but a few hours definitely. Not that it is austere and difficult but it develops with time very nicely.
Medium bodied, an easy style of madeira albeit not as welcoming as a Boal. Nutty, dried fruits , fair amount of caramel. Very solid and full of life.

January 7, 2015 - Second tasting after a month of the wine sitting upright in the fridge.
A slight evolution and improvement or just a better day for us and thus the improvement in score? Medium full of character, lively and albeit has good acidity it did not feel harsh and sharp. Pretty solid and as always indestructible wine. 91-92

December 5, 2014 - Opened and left to rest for a couple of hours.
A very welcoming Madeira, on the medium side, fruit driven in a way, dried fruits, light caramel at times. Very good and complex.
