July 12, 2023 - Wow, brought this wine back from the Gigondas wine shop. A lovely place with samples of most estates. Thought the Bouissiere was nice enough to bring home in luggage. And what a good investment that was! Excellent at 25 years of age. Yum!

January 6, 2021 - Garnet color. Delicious nose of red fruits and smoke. Very fragrant with sensible tannins. Perfectly mature and still very fresh! No hurry in drinking these but no upside potential. 93

June 6, 2018 - Full bodied, rich, sweet, very much Grenache, very much 1998, the balance, acidity and minerality is very fine. Mature.
Tasted over two days, best on day two.

May 18, 2016 - Sweet, carressing Grenache, plenty of primary fruit, garrigue, local character and a very good balance. No hard edges, just pure fun. This is a point, right now, will keep, but it is a wonderful example of mature Gigondas-wine #with PB in the garden

March 9, 2014 - Really singing tonight. Elegance of a Burgundy-wine (okay, just nearly), spine & spiciness, loads of fruit but served in a restrained and civilized manner, what's not to like here? A classic example of, what Gigondas can be - and should be. Will keep the remaining two bottles for library-purposes, but this is really peaking right now. With H&A, Roskilde.

November 23, 2012 - Nice blend of vegetal and fruit; palate is a little sharp/acidic, slightly bitter. Fruit is fading. Time to drink up. Still decent though.

September 16, 2012 - Delicious. Pretty much exactly what one would want from a mature Gigondas. Deep fruit, resolved tannins, nothing overripe.
    My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor

August 8, 2012 - It's there, Poul (The Burgundy man) said, and I agree; the wine is mature, no reason to wait, but still plenty of fruit here along with an animal nature, wonderful minerality and balance. The fruit is still sweet and savory, and the taste goes on. A complete wine, a wonderful example of their cool terroir.

March 10, 2012 - Looks good, smells good, tastes good. At its peak. Nice ruby, but not much legs. Nearly textbook Southern Rhone nose: garrigue, olives, Provençal herbs. Ripe. Pretty in the mouth, with good texture and fine fruit flavors. Lovely all around. 4-13-17-8: 92/100.
