December 10, 2023 - Drank alongside the 2010 JJ Prum Graacher Spatlese in magnum. The baby fat has shed and the tertiary notes have emerged making this a beautiful showing with even more potential in the future. Still med sweetness, but the sugar has melded into a more honeyed peach note alongside hay and dried apricots, all in great balance. Pronounced intensity of flavors with a long 10 second finish that has enough acidity to make it not cloying. This could shed off a bit more sweetness with age, but honestly is near what an aged JJ Prum should taste like. I can imagine the 750ml bottles being even closer t the peak drinking window. 94-95 today, beat out the Graacher Spatlese in complexity and intensity.

July 17, 2023 - Prior bottle was two years ago and this wine continues to show impressively. Nose was very similar to prior bottle with white peach/apple along with honey and mixed tropical notes. Medium bodied with white peach and apple upfront, moving to yellow peach, pineapple, mango and orange through the middle. Mid-body (like my prior bottle) showed excellent depth and a lot of complexity through the middle. The depth of fruit continues to be nicely balanced by a combination of tart citrus (lemon and orange) as well as lively acidity. Given where the structural qualities are today as well as depth of mid-body fruit, this wine still has room to improve (complexity and balance) and has a long life ahead.

April 28, 2023 - All the pizzazz I'd hoped for - the thill of the acidity and the caress of the ripe fruit combining to create wonderful, sensual wine. Not that ripe on the nose, with its pear, green floral and yellow apple aromas, then truly exciting on the balanced, high-definition palate, with a rush of acidity, a creamy body and plenty of quince and pineapple. The long finish buttresses the impression of quality. Delicious!

November 27, 2021 - Everyone's favorite at the table with our Thanksgiving Day feast. Delicious with lots of white fruits and excellent acidity. Lots of life let in this one.

November 26, 2021 - Has a lime mineral water quality, purity like glacial runoff. Hard for me to really dig by itself but with spicy pad kra pao this was absolutely gulpable.
