    September 9, 2023 - Bought on release.

    A fantastic nose
Blackberries, garrigue, iron, bouillon, and leather. It's expansive on the palate. A terrific wine of contrasts that add to the whole. Sapid and deep yet supple. Intense yet calm. Savory and fruit. Effortlessly powerful, never heavy. It grows with air time with more Provencal herbal, savory and meaty notes adding to the dark fruits. A complete wine. Drinking at peak and I doubt it will improve from here, not that I could ask much more of this fantastic wine. Brilliant. 97

Great with a fatty burger with mushrooms and pimento cheese.

August 17, 2023 - Wonderful. More robust than the 2000 and will last longer. Wonderful detail.

January 29, 2023 - Dark red, thin edge of orange. Sweet cherry nose. Beautifully flavored of fruit and spice. Structured with very fine tannin. Long finish of pure fruit. Magical.

January 11, 2023 - Lush, soft, and supple, the wine offers sweet, pure kirsch, herbs, and peppery spices with a unique textural experience at every twist, turn, sniff and sip. No decanting is needed here. Just pop, pour and enjoy. Drink from 2023-2035.

June 26, 2022 - Summer Mondo Event $200+ (Roswell, GA): See through crimson with orange rim; celery seed, incense, sour cherry, balsamic, not tannic, botrytis?, dried roses, sweet liqueured fruit yet somewhat demure, root vegetables, mushroom, tart lifted finish; '01 Fonsalette CdP?; after reveal this is so traditional yet elegant Grenache in the Rayas style, Celestins can start out so beefy and its transformation into something like this is pretty profound when it's at its fighting weight; in a great spot.

(CELESTINS Henri Bonneau) Hodge Podge Dear Friends, Tonight we have a Friday-like hodge podge of very interesting wines. The Kopke is a personal favorite and it represents real value in Vintage Port. For a young 2007, it’s darn alluring as I type this... 2007 Kopke Vintage Port (750ml) - STRICT LIMIT 6/person (compare at $50-90) 2001 Henri Bonneau Chateauneuf du Pape “Reserve des Celestins” - EXTREMELY LIMITED 2004 Chateau Musar Cuvee Reservee Blanc (Bekaa Valley, Lebanon) - STRICT LIMIT 6/person Like Kalin and other stalwarts of eccentricity and electricity, Musar produces this wine to please nothing but their own palate. If you enjoy the idea of Bressan (Friuli) meshed with dried apricots and resin, this quasi “current release” wine will find a dandy place in your wine-geek arsenal – ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price. To order any of the above: niki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to arrive in 2-3 weeks (please check OARS for local pick up after July 15th). It will ship during the Fall shipping season. Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible. Locals may pick up at their leisure. For current local pick up and arrival/ship information, please see your OARS link below (at the bottom of this offer) - don’t know how to access your OARS? Simply click the link and see your account. (CELESTINS Bonneau CdP) Friday Dear Friends, Some good wine for a Friday send-off. Have a nice weekend! 2005 Comte Armand Pommard Clos des Epeneaux - (WA94-96) STRICT LIMIT 6/person This wine may end-up as the longest lived wine of the 2005 vintage in the Cote de Beaune and even in the Cote de Nuits. It has a chance to rival some of the great classics of the 1920s and 1950s. Benjamin Laroux thinks it was crafted by aliens... 2001 Canalicchio di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino 5.0lt - 2001 Canalicchio di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino 3.0lt - There’s been a lot of controversy lately over Brunello and the modern influx of over-oaking and hot fermentations would make the forefathers of this region turn in their grave. Here’s a real Brunello, one that could last longer than you and I - if you are looking for a large format to open at your son or daughter’s wedding (that is, if they are getting married in 30 years), this is your wine - an absolutely gorgeous effort. This set is had bottled from the best material they had in 2001: 2001 Fontodi Flaccianello 27.0lt - They were going to make this 27 liter bottle (that is as big as a small room) the centerpiece of their tasting room - they gave it to us instead. Only available for shipping as a full pallet via refer truck - you must be able to accept pallet shipments. 2001 Henri Bonneau CdP Reserve de Celestins - STRICT LIMIT 6/person All have arrived with impeccable provenance directly from the source - they will be available for local pick up and shipping in 1-2 weeks (weather permitting - so far so good). Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Burg8970 Italy6810 Italy6820 Italy6830 Rhone7660
