March 28, 2021 - Still ok in spite of being past the drinking window. Pnp, didn't decant. This bottle improved 30-40 minutes after opening. Cherry and medium red fruit, a little smoke. Pleasant. Subdued.

August 15, 2017 - Pepper, pepper, and more pepper. Black pepper, to be specific. On the nose and the palate. Very strong. It overwhelms the fruit flavors. I get subtle hints of black licorice and cherry underneath the pepper. Long finish- still feeling it 30-40 seconds later.

May 24, 2015 - Drank part at the Wayside Inn. Had the last glass at home. As good as any wine I've had with and without food.
