March 31, 2024 - Fantastic! Primary fruits heading into middle age. Well integrated and the tannins dropped. On PnP.
December 16, 2023 - Nice but not overwhelming. Fruit takes awhile to come out but subtle currants and cherries underneath which gives way to some chocolate and leather.

January 29, 2021 - Thick and viscous, coats the mouth. Fruit is maturing, stone fruit and currants. Nice wine but lacks the complexity to out it over the top.
April 24, 2020 - Popped and poured. This is a solid red wine. The last glass and the end of the bottle contain some decent sediment, so decanting seems worthwhile. On the nose, I get cherries, fruit punch, menthol, and a touch of heat. In the mouth, this is rich and full, with dark, concentrated fruit flavors that pull through on the finish. Overall, this is a loaded and tasty wine, but is still slightly hot. I would drink up. Unsurprisingly, this full bottle was bottle than the last 1/2 bottle I had a while ago. 90 points.

July 5, 2019 - Tasty and fresh but not out of the ordinary.
March 22, 2019 - Realm poured this at the winery to contrast their "old" style wines to their "new" style wines. While I do prefer the more recent vintages, to my palate, a good part of the difference was tasting a 10 year old Realm against very recent vintages. That said, I enjoyed the 2009 The Tempest quite a bit. Blackberries and currants with some licorice and hints of minerals, coffee, and floral. A more delicate style with a medium to long finish. This won't age as long as currant vintages. If I had more in my cellar, I would drink them now. I'm glad they poured this wine.
January 9, 2019 - Well balanced fruit. Lots of Jam. A solid wine from a solid producer Realm. Not as full as I expected from an 09. Medium astringency with a clean finish. I would definitely acquire more if I come across it.
November 21, 2018 - Fabulous wine. Fresh, bright fruit, supple tannins, elegant. Really good.
