December 11, 2014 - 13.2% alcohol. This is showing really, really well. Slight bricking with the red cherry color. Lovely bouquet of black cherry and dark earth. Classic Sonoma Coast profile. Smooth, balanced palate with bursting cherry and blackberry fruit, earthy notes, background spice, and a good burst of acidity. Smooth finish. Lovely. A-

July 10, 2012 - 13.2% alcohol. Drinking beautifully. Black cherry color. A very open bottle of this wine. Soaring nose of black and red cherry, with pretty earth notes behind it. In the mouth, explosive cherry fruit, with a good earth and spice edge and precocious acidity. Strong finish. Delightful. A-

May 18, 2012 - 13.2% alcohol. Red cherry color. The nose initially shows a healthy stem influence, with red cherry, floral, and spice notes. This opened up to become very pure with some air, a well-integrated, cherry-infused wine. In the mouth, linear and very well-balanced, with good structure and terrific purity. The red and black cherry fruit is delicious, with an earthy, lightly stemmy streak. Good acidity and a lightly tannic finish. Really fine wine. A-

December 30, 2011 - Strawberry, floral notes, plums, sour cherries. hint of granny smith, a good amount of very Asian spice, hint of cola. Nice supple tannins and the acidity is well balanced.

July 19, 2011 - 13.3% alcohol and the first vintage from this producer, Suacci Vnyd. is in the Sonoma Coast AVA; smells of sour cherries, cranberries and spice; tastes like a barrel sample with flavors that follow the nose, crisp acidity, a silken texture but not quite knit together yet; everything is in place but this needs a year in the cellar. Maybe the best thing about it is its sense of lightness on the palate; nothing over-extracted or over-done. Lovely wine with grilled salmon and smashed potatoes.
