October 25, 2017 - On the decline. All sweetness, no acidity or tannins.

December 7, 2012 - Popped and poured directly from the cellar. Hmm, I think this was better a year ago, somewhat reductive on the nose, has a smell of fermented grapes (like in the winery soon after harvest). The palate is better, with good tannins and nice tastes of blackberries, although even here, the taste is not quite right. The wine is not flawed, and certainly not bad, but is clearly made for early drinking. Don't save them if you have them! OK, it did get better with more airtime, but I would still maintain that this is best when young.

September 16, 2011 - this 100 percent carignan is a gorgeous purple color in the glass. it smells like plum cake and blackberry sauce. the palate is really dense and rich. the alcohol shows a bit at 15%. there's a lot of sweet blackberries and milk chocolate on the palate. if you like fruit bomb syrahs, this wine is for you.

September 16, 2011 - Warm herbs on the nose with toasty oak. Palate had a good deal of spicy red fruit and some subtle tar - but didn't show all too much. Being a 2010, this needs some time to resolve in the bottle I think.

August 17, 2011 - Popped and poured, tasting note written after an hour open. This is an inky black wine, with a heavy look to it. The nose is initially a bit reductive, but with some airtime it becomes luscious blackberries, with a hint of licorice, even some meaty tones there despite not being in oak. A very enjoyable wine on the palate, thick black fruits, some tannins, quite delicious. For an entry level VdT (and a VdT only because the vineyard does not conform to the AOC rules in Minervois), this is simply great! Can't wait to try the more serious wines from this same producer.
