Community Tasting Notes 20

February 18, 2016 - Unscrewed and poured. Funky, but pleasant, rhubarb aroma. Forward flavors of dark cherry fruit. Bitter cherry/tobacco finish. Intriguing and attractive flavors, some complexity, solid foundation, firm backbone, great staying power. Lively and vibrant wine that is drinking perfectly right now. Outstanding QPR.

August 29, 2014 - This was the token red at the tasting. Theme was Germany or Alsace. Neither I nor anyone else was too impressed.

August 22, 2014 - Drank like a value-priced Burgundy. Very competent with good balance, good acidity, but had hoped for a bit more at this price point ($23).
