  August 29, 2020 - Lovely nose, nicely aromatic. There is a lot going on with this wine and it evolved over the evening. Some of the flavors which came through are red cherry, kirsch, raspberry, blackberry, espresso bean, dark chocolate and cigar box. The tannins are integrated, smooth and round with a soft mouthfeel. Medium+ finish.

  August 10, 2020 - Nose was mostly ok, but it showed pruny burnt fruit on the palate - nothing like my bottle from three years ago. Either heat damaged (hope not, since I have two more bottles from the same 3-pack vertical) or bad cork.

  January 12, 2019 - Dark fruit and berry nose, light fruit on the palate, a touch sour without food. Went well with blue cheese.

  August 8, 2018 - This was showing heavy mocha notes as well as red and blue berry notes. Silky mouth feel and great tannins. This could continue to age another decade.

  February 21, 2017 - Cherry, sweet raspberry, sandalwood, eucalyptus, vanilla, and bubble gum. Complexity is really starting to show. Still some mild heat. Still a powerful wine. Ready to drink but will last another 10.
