January 26, 2008 - Extracted cork in prisitine condition with absolutely no seepage. Beuatiful transluscent ruby red robe to the edge. Reticent cherry nose. Soft and elegant on the palate. A very classy wine with excellent balance and persistence. A classic old style Brunnello "normale" with no sharp edges and fully resolved tannins. A bit of tart cherry without lot of complexity. Just a slight off taste on the finish. Possible a hint of cork taint. Nonetheless, a beautiful food wine and easy to drink.
