January 6, 2023 - Very smooth, decant to loosen some tannins but really not necessary. Very smooth, I agree with velvety on the tounge. Ready to enjoy now, it can last a bit longer but I do not think it is going to get better
October 31, 2022 - Very RICH wine with tongue coating viscosity, integrated and smooth with a slightly jammy black cherry, blackberry flavor profile, but so nice, thick and rich with long finish. Brought back memories of some of the most powerful rich wines of the mid-ninety’s, wish I had more…..

May 21, 2021 - Excellent showing. Still quite youthful, although the structure has softened a bit and is accessible. Dark fruited and nicely textured.
March 24, 2021 - Double decanted for 2 hrs, deep ruby/purple, dark fruit, a touch grapey, med. tannins. med. finish; delicious, but tasted younger than previous bottle (new batch), hold for a year or 2
February 27, 2021 - Let it breathe in the bottle for 1 hour. Nice bouquet of dark fruit and spice. Medium-to-full bodied, good balance, quite approachable, and smooth, integrated tannins - somewhat of a weak structure though, loosely defined around the edges. Very good fruit flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and plum, with some cassis and a bit of oak; however, i don't rate this as "jammy", it is more like a precursor to jammy - thus just right in my preference. Nice long-ish finish of black cherry. It paired very well with a dinner of lamb chops. I think this has at least 1 more year left before it peaks and the downslope begins; but my bottle did not spend the whole time in my wine cave, so those which have been constantly cellared may see a peak 2 or more years from now. My exact rating is 92.8. Delicious wine.
January 1, 2021 - This is a tightly wound bit of dynamite. Very explosive and offering immediate drinking pleasure on opening but unfurling by the hour. Goes well with Ribeye and it needs some fat/meat to balance. A rather hedonistic cab, but it a great way.
