July 27, 2019 - Decent apricot notes, medium body, wishing a bit more fruit. A bit one dimensional.
May 19, 2018 - This bottle showed very young. Initially there were salty, sweaty aromas. Taut and young, with tart citrus fruit. Lots of acid and briney, marine notes. This was my last bottle and I wish I had a few more to follow over the next five or ten years.
September 17, 2017 - Ditto last note.
July 19, 2017 - Leaner, lighter, more lemony and angular than I had remembered it being. Not as attractive as when it showed more flesh but still good.
July 11, 2017 - Bright pineapple, hints of citrus, great qpr.
May 28, 2017 - About three years since the last bottle and not much has changed. Maybe there is a little less intensity. Chablis has become our favorite white wine, and this is another example why. Great value, refreshing, and food friendly. We both liked this one.
June 22, 2016 - In a great spot now, but no rush at all to open this. Nice balance of pithy citrus and ocean-y notes, and complexity expected of a 1er cru. Drank over three days, and it was virtually unchanged by the last glass. If I had another bottle, I'd wait a couple of years to open it, to see how different it is from age 6, with no worries at all about it holding up.
June 15, 2016 - Light greenish yellow. Oyster shell, tangerine aromatics that become more floral and herbaceous-quite complex and intriguing. Medium weight, gorgeously sappy. A beacon of citrus, fine acidity, and then a finish that is like rolling small pebbles around in your mouth. This has been consistently excellent and proven to be a great bargain. I think that this bottle was the best so far.
May 8, 2016 - 91-92. Out of a 375. Penetrating Lemon zest on the nose up on open. Strong chalky, mineral streak. Wonderful persistence in the mid-palate, fully energized without being over ripe. Very precise and delineated citrus flavors, with a long lingering finish. Entering its window, with a good long life ahead.
April 14, 2016 - Delicious today. Crisp, lightly acidic, green apple, lemon, slight minerality, slight salinity. For whatever reason this really hit the spot on this 'rooster in a hen house' night.
