December 15, 2023 - Last one of these was a couple of years ago and I remember it fondly.
This one was another gem. Took a while to open up. It was a bit clunky and disjointed on open. Very tight. We decanted it. As it warmed up and got some air, it kept unfurling layer and layer of nuance, complexity and joy. After 2 hours it was singing.
Exquisite sweetness of fruit on the palate. Saline and salty. Classic oyster shell.
I think this is one to keep sleeping in the cellar for a while longer. Or I suggest decanting and serving at room temp if you can’t resist now.

December 10, 2023 - The ‘10 Les Clos was exceptional, and seems to be at the early end of what should (premox willing) be a long drinking window. For my taste in whites, I would prefer to drink this now or over the next few years, as it’s just so vibrant right now, but I would expect this to develop favorably for a long time depending on what you’re looking for in your Chablis.

The nose was intensely perfumed, especially with air and as the wine warmed a bit, with white florals, lemon oil, sea breeze / minerality, mint, sage, and toasted almonds. On the palate, the wine is medium plus in body, very concentrated with white stone fruit and white florals, lemon and lime, and towards the finish, intense minerality along with toasted nut and lemon oil notes. This has a perfect combination of sweetness, minerality, and acidity, with just a hint of this toasted nut / bread note from oak addiing complexity.

May 26, 2023 - During a Paulee dinner, so only brief impressions. Tasted next to the 1966, which was still in excellent shape. Both wines great. This one obiously much more youthful, with great reductive aromas, fresh, precise. 96-97

January 13, 2023 - Slightly nutty, but otherwise super clean and fresh with bright acidity. Drank side by side with 17' Lafon Montrachet, and it was a bit of a toss up for me which of the two I preferred as I was somewhat underwhelmed by the Lafon tonight given expectations.

November 30, 2022 - 2010 Fevre and Dauvissat Grand Cru Chablis (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Light medium gold color. PNP, drank a glass plus over an hour. Drank in a flight with '10 Preuses. This was simply sublime; wow what an ethereal nose of Meyer lemon, ocean, spice, lime, woodsy, and a touch of lacquer. The palate exudes precision, full bodied and rich, with layers of citrus fruits, Meyer lemon, orange zest and Grand Marnier-like liqueur notes, and the dry extract and mineral intensity then just captivates as the level of penetration just rises. Thoroughly impressive, immense, and focused. Damn. 97+ to 98pts.
