August 11, 2021 - First bottle in a few years and this is finally showing some development. The nose has a touch of a ferrous/sanguine note and the fruit is a little darker and not the fresh cherry and strawberry of previous; still shows beautiful morello cherry, dried cranberry, violet, bergamot oil, just a hint of earth and mineral. The palate remains fresh and actually continues to liven up with air with the orange peel/bergamot note becoming more prominent. Very good depth and a lovely finish. Good stuff.

November 8, 2020 - Outstanding Oregon Pinot. Drinking beautifully now. Pleasurable nose of dark cherry and underlying savory and spice. Rich, complex dark fruit, spice and minerality in perfect balance with soft tannins and acidity. Paired very well with duck and savory sausage Toulouse Cassoulet.

November 29, 2015 - Lovely wine, still quite young, very high toned red berry fruits, baking spice, floral elements, hints of blood orange. The palate is fresh, packed with red fruit flavor, and crisp with acidity. Reminds me of a very good Volnay. Still a little primary right now, but I think as it develops and continues to integrate it will continue to improve.

April 14, 2015 - Imagine a black ruby in the sun for the color, a slight nose of the Dundee funk over black cherries and strawberries, followed by a mouthful of berries. That just starts to get you ready for this wine, wonderful know but has decades to go.

January 8, 2014 - Delicious, but quite young and primary. Had to try one of these to see where it was after trying it a year ago at the winery. Lovely nose of bing cherry, red raspberry, baking spice, damp earth. With an hour or so in the glass the fruit became a little riper and darker with black cherry notes. The palate is very lively with fantastic acidity and lots of red fruit, minerality, and earth. I think this is going to turn into a stellar wine, but it is quite young at this point. With another 5-10 years of bottle age I think it will develop more complexity and incorporate its acidity even more. A very nice effort. I probably won't try another for at least 4-5 years.
